About HICS:
Hatteras Island Community Strings (HICS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving the musical youth of Hatteras Island. Our mission is twofold: (1) provide free music lessons to children and young teens and (2) teach our students how to play together in a rock band setting. HICS musicians have the opportunity to perform as a group in various community settings and venues each year.
